Hello lovelies! I can’t express my gratitude at being nominated for this award another three times. Thank you all so much for supporting this blog ❤
I was nominated for this award by Shealea over at that bookshelf bitch, Charley over at A Writer Named Charley and Candace over at Literary Dust. Definitely go check out their blog’s, they are all amazing at what they do! Because I’m combining three different Liebster Awards, I’m going to just pick a few questions from each blogger (I don’t want to bore you all with a million questions haha).
- Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you.
- Answer the 11 questions the blogger gives you.
- Nominate 11 bloggers that you think are deserving of the award.
- Let the bloggers know you nominated them.
- Give them 11 questions of your own.
Since it’s halfway through the year, what are the best and worst reads you’ve encountered so far this 2016?
Well, a few easy favourites are:
- Vicious by V.E. Schwab
- Winger by Andrew Smith
- A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
- Passenger by Alexandra Bracken
- One Paris Summer by Denise Grover Swank
- The Problem With Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout
- And every Shadowhunter book I’ve read this year
Oops, that ended up being way more than I thought. It’s been a good year so far for five star reads! On the other hand, here’s the books I haven’t exactly loved:
These are the only two I’ve actually finished, which I’ve given two stars or below. I’ve read a few mediocre books this year but I wouldn’t go as far as to say I really disliked them.
If you were a Pokemon gym leader, what type of Pokemon (i.e. fire, water, electric) would you be battling with?
OMG FIRE. Every time I re-start my Pokemon game I’m all about the fire starter.
Has a song ever inspired you to write or to create something? What’s the title of the song? How did it inspire you?
Well… I used to be a major 5SOS fangirl (you know those people on Twitter that you hate because they clog your timeline? Yeah, I was one of them, sorry). At one point, their songs used to really inspire me, to the point where I wrote a rather terrible alternative universe fanfic on Wattpad about them *cringes and shakes head*. I deleted it from the site when I realised just how awful it actually was haha.
What is the meaning behind your blog’s title?
If you’ve been following my blog for a while then you’ll know that I’m abnormally obsessed with Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunter Chronicles. In particular, I adore her Infernal Devices trilogy which has matching names; Clockwork Angel, Clockwork Prince and Clockwork Princess. So… yup, I am the Clockwork Bibliophile!
Why did you decide to start a blog when you did?
Honestly, I just got sick of not having an outlet where I could discuss my favourite pastime; reading. Because of this blog, I’ve chatted to so many lovely people who also love books and I’m a lot happier because of it.
How do you prefer to channel your creativity? (i.e. writing, music, reading, etc.)
Well, I’m not rhythmic in the slightest, so that rules out dancing, singing and playing an instrument haha. I’d definitely have to say reading as my main, and since I’ve started blogging, writing as well. I didn’t realise how much I enjoyed writing down my thoughts and opinions until I started up this blog 🙂
Which blogger(s) have you wanted to work with but haven’t contacted yet?
I love all of these bloggers, and doing a guest post or something with them would be SUPER fun!
- Lila @ TheBookkeepersSecrets
- Jorelene @ Page Chronicles
- Cristina @ My Tiny Obsessions
- Shannon @ Captivated~by~Fantasy
- Juliet @ Not Capulet
- Demi @ bookstraveller
Obviously there are a million more of you which I’d love to work with, but it’s 2am and I think I’m getting a bit delirious lol.
What is one way you hope to expand your blog in the future? (more social media accounts, memes, weekly challenges, etc.)
I already take part in a bunch of memes and host my own, but I have a few other ideas for expansion as well. Keep your eyes peeled for when I announce them in due course!
If you could live anywhere where would you?
I have a real innate desire to travel and experience the world in many different ways, so I’d love to live in many different places. Some of them include; Melbourne, New York and Paris.
Three words that describe you.
Outgoing, humorous and possibly a little too emotional when it comes to fictional characters haha (sorry about not abiding by the three word rule!).
What time zone are you in?
British Standard Time 🙂
If you could do anything tomorrow what would you do?
WIN THE LOTTERY AND DROP OUT OF UNI XOXO
Oh I know, I’m very responsible and clearly have high aspirations lol #rolemodel
Anyone who would like to take part in this award then please, be my guest! There is so many people who deserve this, way too many to nominate. If you’re going to post this on your blog then just pinch some of the questions I’ve answered 🙂
It’s currently 2.30am, so I’m sorry if some of these questions are absolutely terrible. Have a lovely day – I think I might sleep half of mine away!
