Stacking The Shelves: June

I’ve been so good this month guys, like really, really good. I’ve only bought two books! One of those books did cost me £30 but we’re going by the number of books obtained, not the price… smh (pls stop judging me lol).

Physical Books

Family Encyclopaedia of World History by Reader’s Digest

Another history book, weoo! I mean, c’mon, doesn’t this book just scream excitement? I feel like whenever I need to know anything about history in the future, the answer will definitely be in here so it’s good money well spent, I think.

The World of Ice & Fire by George R.R. Martin

You guys know from my recent Ultimate GoT Tag that I’m a huge fan, so when I saw this masterpiece in Waterstones, well.. I just had to buy it (even thought it was £30 and I died a little inside when I handed over my debit card). Anyway, this gives a good insight into the history of George R.R. Martin’s world and has stunning illustrations – it’s the real deal, everyone!

Ivory and Bone by Julie Eshbaugh

I received this beauty in my Fairy Loot box this month! If you don’t know what Fairy Loot is then check out my unboxing post, all the details are there 🙂 This one definitely sounds like an interesting retelling and looks wonderful on my bookshelf. Hopefully I’ll get around to it at some point this year (always so optimistic, Shannon).

Kindle Books

In Twenty Years by Allison Winn Scotch

28135067

This is my Kindle first book for the month. I have absolutely no idea what it’s about but the cover was prettier than the others on offer. Yay for free books!

Not Quite Dating by Catherine Bybee

This is another one I got for free from Amazon this month… I don’t really know why. For being a loyal customer or something? I have no idea, but I’m not complaining 🙂

A Courtroom of Ashes by C.S. Wilde

29919561

This is one I was sent for review by the author herself! She’s super lovely, click here to visit her website. I should be getting around to reading this one soon, it sounds like a crazy but satisfying whirlwind of a book!

Just A Few Inches by Tara St. Pierre

JustAFewInches

This is another one that has peaked my interests and sounds really quite different from anything else I’ve read. I was sent this one from the author as well – I’ll actually be uploading a ProMo post of this soon so keep an eye out for that on my ProMo official page.

Zenith by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings

29569157

Last but not least we have Zenith! I completely forgot this book came out this month, I pre-ordered it so long ago and the time has flown in so bloody quick. I’ve been highly anticipating this one because Sasha is one of my favourite BookTubers, so definitely check this one out guys!

See, I was’t too bad on the book buying front this month! (Let’s just blissfully forget that I spent £30 on a mythical world’s history book, lalalala). Anyway, let me know in the comments what you’ve been spending all of your money on this month! 🙂cfghj

      1. Especially when they’re on sale 😂 In a way it’s not that bad. I found a webside where I can buy used book for little money and almoat all came in a perfect condition (I’m not complaining at all). If I had to buy all of them new, I would have, filed bankruptcy long ago 🙈😂

  1. It is tough I know. Actually, I have a couple of gift cards that I need to use but I was in gift shopping mode, and just bought presents at the book store. But went to book club were we trade and swap books and came back with a few more for the to be read pile! : )

  2. The World of GOT is good at giving back story and helps to make us see why things have progressed in the way they have in the books. It reads like a history book sometimes though, which it kinda is. The illustrations are gorgeous.
