Hey guys, sorry I haven’t been posting much this week. I’ve been super busy and haven’t been reading much, but I hope that will change now 🙂
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme created and hosted by Kimberly, over at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Go check out her blog and spread the bookish love!
As I’ve said, this past week has been crazy. I’ve had quite a few things to tie up with uni but I’ve just found out that I’m exempt from my exams and I’ve handed in all my coursework so summer starts for me now!
I also saw Counterfeit and 5 Seconds of Summer this week which was crazy. 5sos were good and Counterfeit were absolutely amazing! It’s the first time I’ve seen them live and was totally blown away. This is going to sound so creepy but the lead singer of Counterfeit – Jamie Campbell Bower – came right into the crowd a few times and was standing literally right in front of me. At one point I actually touched him *laughs and cries at myself*
❤ ➰ ❤ ➰ (Ps. I may or may not be majorly crushing on Jamie right now) ❤ ➰ ❤ ➰
The Mine (Northwest Passage #1) by John A. Heldt
To be honest, I’m in a bit of a reading slump right now 😦 I’ve been reading this book for about two weeks and am still only on 8%. I’m going to try and finish this book soon, like actually finish it this time. I hate reading slumps :(((((((
Synopsis from Goodreads:
In May 2000, Joel Smith is a cocky, adventurous young man who sees the world as his playground. But when the college senior, days from graduation, enters an abandoned Montana mine, he discovers the price of reckless curiosity. He emerges in May 1941 with a cell phone he can’t use, money he can’t spend, and little but his wits to guide his way. Stuck in the age of swing dancing and a peacetime draft, Joel begins a new life as the nation drifts toward war. With the help of his 21-year-old trailblazing grandmother and her friends, he finds his place in a world he knew only from movies and books. But when an opportunity comes to return to the present, Joel must decide whether to leave his new love in the past or choose a course that will alter their lives forever. THE MINE follows a humbled man through a critical time in history as he adjusts to new surroundings and wrestles with the knowledge of things to come.
Favourite Songs This Week…
I’ve been hearing so many good things about Catfish and the Bottleman for a while now and am totally loving their songs! If you haven’t listened to them before then I highly suggest you do! I also suggest Counterfeit (((if you couldn’t already tell from my slight fangirlness earlier))). Letter to the Lost is my fave song by them ❤ Plus, Jamie T are great too and definitely worth a listen if you haven’t already!
Favourite Story This Week
I can’t believe I’m only just hearing about this now, but I’m glad I have. A man named Sean O’Brien got fat shamed online and a campaign was started to find him. Once the people behind the campaign found him, they flew him out to Cali to attend anti-bullying events which some awesome celebrities were at. This story made me so happy and I thought I’d share it with you, if you’d like to find out more then click right here 🙂
TV Show Recommendation…
Sons of Anarchy
I started watching this show last week and I’m not too sure how I feel about it yet. It’s not the type of thing I usually watch but if you’re into bikers and organised gang crime then this is the show for you!
Next Week’s Planned Blog Posts…
Again, I’m not too sure what’s going to be uploaded this week because I’m not loving the themes for some of the memes I take part in but we shall see! Keep an eye out though, I’ll definitely be posting this week!
I hope you’ve had a great week and, until my next post, thanks for reading! ((Tell me about your week in the comments!))
